Our Story
As a single mother of two, Kathleen set out to try to balance her career and her family. Drawing from her diverse professional experiences in the food industry she set out to develop food products that were focused on the coffee house industries. Her first two clients were Border’s and Barnie’s Tea and Coffee out of Florida.
She worked hand in hand with Barnie’s to help develop their food program and menu. This led her to joining forces with Imperial Food Services, helping to develop food products for retail and government that were all natural.
Continuing on her journey, she created new product lines that were based on the comfort foods we have come to love over the years, while focusing on ingredients that delivered essential needs to the body.
In the fall she joined forces with Blommer Chocolate to release her My OH MegaTM line using a new product from them. Both companies were excited about the opportunities from this innovated cookie line.
It was then that she read an article about a family that was grateful their husband/father came home from the war, when two others on the base were not as fortunate. It was such as eye opener for Kathleen. She realized that any of life’s challenges for a single parent could not compare to the loss of a loved one due to the war and moving forward without any help at all from their partner. Quite simply - no choices.
Already active in community service as a personal and family endeavor, she realized she could take her newest opportunities and combine it with the community to help in areas that was very familiar to her.
She joined forces with Operation Homefront. They agreed to add a new program, a bridging fund, to their already existing support programs and to help fund this program. Katy’s created a marketing plan to drive the cause that will give 50 percent of the profits to create this bridging fund. Today we are bringing this to life. We have committed the growth of Katy’s to building communities by helping through charities. We welcome the voice of our country to help us. Everyone has a voice and an opportunity to share it and become a part of solutions in today’s world.
