Katy’s is moving into the kitchen!
March 17, 2010

It’s often said that the “kitchen is the heart of the home”.  Katy’s, LLC announces a new initiative to bring its heart into kitchens everywhere.  Katy’s hopes to bring a touch of joy and a smile to the faces of military families left behind.  Starting in the Chicago market, Katy’s founder, Kathleen Frantz, will soon visit the kitchen of a military family and help inspire new, custom recipes for the family based on their own preferences.  Kathleen is a classically trained chef who will then spend an evening teaching the family how to bring the recipes to the dinner table creating great memories and meals at home.

Katy’s has chosen to start in her community of Oak Park but is willing to accept future nominations of a military family left behind who would enjoy an evening of cooking fun.  Please use the Contact Us page to send us the information.

Katy’s will also continue to develop the retail market for the My OH Mega cookie.  Over 50% of Katy’s profits on the My OH Mega cookie is donated to Operation Homefront, creating a bridging fund for military families left behind.

Kathleen believes that “Reaching out and making a difference works on many levels. Using my talents to bring a bit of laughter and a smile to a child and parent together is priceless.”

We will continue to work each day to make a difference in someone’s life and build a stronger community for today and years to come.
